Very nice to remain focused

This app reminds you to take breaks while working on your computer, something asking you to stretch or get a bowl of fresh air! Just great!

Great to reduce eye fatigue

I’ve been using Healthier for a week now, configured for a 2 minutes break every 20 minutes. The simple eye exercises are great to remind me to look away from the screen and fortify the eye muscles. Of course, frequent breaks sometimes come at the wrong moment, disturbing concentration, but you can easily skip a break. After a week I can already feel an improvement in how tired I feel after a day long of work!

Good not great

I like the UI, for the most part. I think the exercise imagery, instructions, etc could use some work.

The UI is nice but the app itself is buggy

Within a day the app crashed. Then again it entered a funny state and is consuming 100% CPU now. To be honest I must admit that the UI is nice. Unfortunately the very good first impression was completely ruined. Apart from fixing the bugs I would like to suggest a few improvements: 1) The app should detect idle sessions and it should reset the timer automatically. I find it weird when I open my laptop in the morning and it tells me that I have ‘13 minutes to go’ (period before rest was set to 40 minutes). 2) A better support for multiple desktops. App overlays (configuration widget and ‘its time to rest’ banner) appear inconsistent when switching desktops.

Great app became even better

There are not so many app that care about us in the way the Healtier does. It’s really helpfull and very elegant way to keep in mind your working rhytm in front of the Mac. Interesting as it started as a eyes saving app for me but now I’m using it event for 20’ focus sessions during the work. Highly recommend.

Easy to use, pretty app

I think this does the job and I really like the design of the app. I do have a feature request though - this app is great if you are the only one viewing or using your computer. But as a designer who has colleagues and clients stopping by my computer at random times, not being able to dismiss the reminder without having to sit through the x amount of time is really awkward. Otherwise, aside from my specific and unique need, this is a great app!

Simple & Helpful

I just started a new job where I am desk-bound for most of the day. This app helps me make sure I get up and get moving throughout the day. Pre-emptively spacing out breaks rather than waiting til I crash leads to a much more productive, happier, and healthier work day. This app is simply, unobtrusive, and elegant. I recommend this app if youre looking to enhance your productivity.

I tend to get absorbed in computer work so I very much appreciate the break reminders. The alloted time between breaks goes by in the wink of an eye. Also the eye and stretching exercises are very helpful. I was developing "computer eye" difficulties and no longer have them.

Good App for Enforced Work Breaks

This is good app for enforced work breaks. My only quibbles are that you cannot close the "break" screen using the Escape key, and too many of the suggested activities involve eye exercises.

awesome app

I love this application, my eye doctor asked me to take a break from staring at the monitor every half hour, its hard to keep track of time when working so this application reminds me every 20 minutes to take a break. I have been consistent because of this.

I loved this app... BUT

I really liked this app, Im at my computer most of the day and suffer from sjorgrens syndrome giving me chronically dry eyes. So this was a nice reminder to take a break when I am otherwise engrossed with work. However. Now it doesnt work. It doesnt even show up on my top task bar like it used to. I can put it on my bottom dock, but when I click on it, nothing happens. Help, fix this.

Simple and useful

I love how simple this break reminder is! Its not annoying, allows you to set the intervals and break period so you can really use it to your benefit. like many who work too many hours at a desk, I have lower back problems including a herniated disc. Because of that, I need to take breaks to do a specific series of stretches to heal my back. This is the PERFECT solution! Ive tried others but this one makes remembering to take my breaks a breeze.

Exactly what I needed!

I was looking for an app that will remind me to get up and move while working. I found it! Simple to use, you can specify how many minutes to work and how many minutes to rest or workout. Will remind you when its time to get up, and when the rest timer is complete.

Its Great!

Some more options would be nice. For instance, Changing or muting the sound alarm that was just added...

Exactly What I needed

Read an article about improving productivity when working online for long periods of time that said you should time yourself and take short breaks after working for around 30 minutes or so, I decided to give it a shot but found it annoying to either keep track of the time or set up a timer every time but then I came across this APP which made my life much easier by doing this automatically, and the little health tips are cool too.
